Citibank Plus - No Fee No Overseas Transaction Fee Account

So at this stage, the conclusion for fee-free withdrawals is "business as usual", I think. But I will be eagerly testing the outcome early next year....

    Couples & Voluntary Cabin Separation

Yes, this would be common. In general, if I had work responsibilities immediately on landing from long haul that required me to be well rested (the main point behind flying business class), I would take the J seat. If not, I would give it up for the better half. I reckon it would be about a...

Whoops... what did you forget you had?

Corkscrew. Forgot I had it in my laptop bag (where it had not been detected in numerous other flights), but wasn't too upset about ditching it at security. Until the rented apartment at my destination turned out not to have one. Which I discovered right after I had purchased a couple of bottles...

Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Familiar stories, unfortunately. Who on Earth would want to be part of a franchise in Australia these days? Frequent Flyer points would be the least of their problems...

Would you fly... Ukraine International Airlines?

.....which includes Ukrainian International Airlines..... So, taking a step back from previous speculation and introducing a dose of reality to the discussion, I had two transits through KBP last week, with two sectors on UIA. Both operating to slightly modified schedules to accommodate the...

Would you fly... Ukraine International Airlines?

Do it semi-regularly with different carriers. Doing it again this week with UIA. Satisfactory airline, good airport. No worries.

    Benefits flying Aer Lingus

Last week VIE-DUB I got zip for QF Gold on Aer Lingus without codeshare number, although my FF number was in the booking. Changed it to BA Gold for DUB-VIE and still got squat, but that was probably because I was running late and not able to use anything that would have been offered. Although...

    Russian tourist visa 'invitations'

I am quite proud of my Uzbek visa sticker in my previous passport, as there was no Uzbek Embassy in Australia. Looks quite similar to the ones from all ex-Soviet countries that still require visas, including Russia.

    Russian tourist visa 'invitations'

Sounds about right. Apart from once the Embassy in Canberra refused to release my passport with visa because there was "no authority" for the courier to pick it up. :-| Meaning it was delayed a few days until the day before my flight. But that was a random hiccup with no cause or reason. Mostly...

    Russian tourist visa 'invitations'

In theory, yes. You may find that the stamp was altered with the extended dates each time, if they didn't actually add another stamp. Or the first number may have been attached "in the system" to subsequent numbers. It is quite an antiquated system that often involves manual changes, and in...

    Russian tourist visa 'invitations'

Again technically correct (for example, when taking segments on the Transiberian you can change from place to place never exceeding the time limit to register). But don't do it unless unavoidable, because there is a real chance that somebody will check documents and want to argue the finer...

    BA Executive Club

Correct, it was a lazy generic reference to fees (whatever the origin) on award tickets.
