Cancelling QF flights due to border closures

Thanks both. I think I was overthinking, where a 'mere' one day change isn't really a 'cancellation' per se but just a 'change'. Got caught up in the terminology.

Cancelling QF flights due to border closures

UPDATE: Ok, seems like their Fly Flexible page somewhat contradicts the T&Cs fine print: Looks like I should be safe to cancel the points booking.

Cancelling QF flights due to border closures

Apologies in advance for piggybacking on this thread - I have a SYD -> PER on Aug 27 which Qantas changed to Aug 28, but of course this makes no difference as we can't enter WA either way. Booking was made on points. After reading everything ITT and QF's T&Cs, it appears that because QF made...

    EV vs ICE vehicle comparison

An interesting non-technical read re: Toyota's bet on hydrogen. https://arstechnica.com/cars/2021/07/toyota-bet-wrong-on-evs-so-now-its-lobbying-to-slow-the-transition/

    EV vs ICE vehicle comparison

I will admit the FUD (some of it probably true, some of it likely not) surrounding Tesla, which is probably the most polarising car company - if not company - in the world right now, doesn't help. Even as a MS owner for 3.5 years, I can't help but get the impression that I'm going to be up...

    EV vs ICE vehicle comparison

33kft's already inundated you with information so I won't pile on the sources. But regarding your generalistic views of BEVs (you didn't really make specific arguments or cite specific sources, so I'm just calling your argument for the spade that it is), the simple and inconvenient truth is that...

    Advice on champagne

Honestly not sure what happened then. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have bought it at full price without some sort of incentive...but on the other hand, as it was 3 years ago and I've clearly forgotten about my line of thinking then...guess it doesn't matter all that much :) Can't seem to find a...

    Advice on champagne

Looks like I undersold even myself (regarding the Ambonnay at least)! However it does look like I misremembered - conflating a clearance sale for a cashback! No wonder 30% stuck in my head... I guess I should've called it the @qaz cashback :D

    Advice on champagne

My goodness - what a glorious day it will be should you ever choose to pop! Or - touch wood - the tragedy of a tainted wine after an eon in storage. I guess you'll never have to confront that possibility if you never open it - Schrodinger's champagne, as it were.

1998. Also nabbed a 2000 Clos du Mesnil in the same same sale. Both too early to drink imo.

Will let you know in around 10 years! Resting in the fridge atm :) :) I'll let you know after the first glass which will be with fried chicken :D :D

    Advice on champagne

They definitely now make you work for it! Gone are the glory days when I was able to buy a Krug Clos d'Ambonnay that was listed for $4000 with 30% CR + 5% Wish = $2660. Best absolute saving ever!

    Advice on champagne

I miss the days when Dan Murphys/CR offered 30% cashback uncapped, and could use on champagne as well...some of the biggest $ savings I've ever made. Probably why they don't offer such good deals anymore :P

Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Grabbed 1x Bollinger Rosé & 2x Charles Heidsieck Rosé's - both were already with online offers ($120 & $130ea) so grand total of $330 after 15% CR.
