Rex to fly between Australian capital cities

I reckon this comment deserves more credit (pardon the pun) than some of the other arguments as to why ZL's load factors are dismal on this route.

AA in Premium Econ MIA > LHR

Likewise. Poor customer service is one thing, an apology might suffice. When one has paid for a product/service which hasn't been provided, compensation is warranted.

Status run or take Qantas 80k offer?

Do the status run! As others have pointed out, you'd only need 55SC really if you factor in the loyalty bonus. You'll get to keep the 80k points, grow your lifetime SC balance and earn some points to boot!

    No offer of compensation?

That is a step forward for sure

    The influence of #hashtag "Influencers"

Couldn't these "requests" be treated the same way one would treat spam?

    A letter to Alan Joyce

From experience, LCCs would be more inclined to accept freight than pax if it ever comes down to it (when there are payload restrictions for instance) as revenue from freight tends to make up a healthy slice of their profits.

Consensus on points compo for failed IFE

Exactly. This is where the ME/Asian carriers have a leg up over QF. Its about making the customer feel valued I reckon - tone/responsiveness as important (if not more) than what is actually being offered.

    Point Collectors Anonymous

I actually feel more satisfied when points balance drops to zero (or close to), than earning them.

Travel Agent Booked Biz Class - turns out he used his points and took cash for himself

Seems one airline at least don't seem to fazed by points brokers...

[JQ] Domestic cashless cabin – May 2018

Don't often travel with an LCC, and have never purchased food/beverages on-board. I however find $4 for a can of coke at 40,000ft reasonable, considering what one would pay on the ground anyway...

    Rebooked on JQ - experiences?

Not making any excuses for QF, or any other airline for that matter, but from personal experience "gestures of goodwill" are generally a given however not automatic. As per harvyk's suggestion, I find a non-emotive letter detailing the facts and requesting compensation often yields a result. EY...

Am I crazy ? ( declined offer for more direct route)

One of the things I love about EK lounges is the uniformity - layout might be slightly different but I pretty much know what to expect in terms of offerings. On a recent trip out of SIN, QF # EK metal, CSA asked if I was going for EK or QF lounge and it was a no-brainer for me. I'm sure others...

DISAPPOINTED WITH SQ A350 BUSINESS BED

Whilst I do not feel there is nothing inherently wrong with SQ's soft product it is definitely lacklustre compared to the SQ of old. I too find EK's offering trumps SQ - especially since in general it seems SQ still command a premium in terms of fares!

    Onboard Greetings

Have had same experience PB/check-in a handful of times as well, perhaps more customer service training needs to be doled out. You know what they say about assuming...
