You will have access to Emirates lounge when departing LAX to return back to Australia. You should be able to access Delta Skyclub for your flight to SEA.

Car hire programs I haven’t seen too much value in although you do get a free weekend rental with Europcar if you do that one whilst Gold. Yes, you can pick a different program once you reach platinum. I did this myself.
