How long do BA and Finnair flights take to credit to Qantas?

I’m still waiting on a BA flight I took to Stockholm 4 weeks ago - have just lodged an online claim so let’s see!

    Long QF layover in DRW

Hi - I am flying Brisbane to London via Darwin and we have a longish layover in DRW (almost 7hrs). Does anyone know if bags are checked through from BNE and if we can leave the airport in between? We have young kids and i was thinking of booking a hotel so they could swim for a few hours etc...

Qantas extends status extensions until end June 2023 (previously December 2022)

Thank you all! And SCs will rollover? I have 110 credits that seem to have “rolled over” on May 1 2021 (don’t know why only 110 rolled over but there you go) - will these reroll over? And if I fly on oneworld between now and end April I assume those SCs will rollover too?

Qantas extends status extensions until end June 2023 (previously December 2022)

Does anyone know if this just gets applied on expiry date? I am U.K. based WP with expiry April 2022 and it’s still showing as expiring then (ie not 2023).

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Worst case scenario we can go to the US and get my son vaccinated there I suppose. Or maybe the U.K. will change its stance. JCVI (atagi equivalent) have been very cautious though - and probably rightly so.

I hope so. 7 days of home quarantine is a lot in the context of a 2-2.5week trip home. Will keep everything crossed!

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

As a U.K. resident Aussie citizen with kids this is becoming tricky. 12-16yos with 1 dose (2 not permitted in the U.K. unless CV) already have to factor in 7 days quarantine which is tough if you want to come other than in aus winter (school breaks are 2-3 weeks over Christmas and Easter). I...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I live in the U.K. & am in the US at the moment (travelled a couple of days ago) - was not asked about my vaccination status at the US border, I showed my hard copy NHS covid pass on check in at Heathrow and that was it. The required PCR test had to be linked to the passport I was travelling on...

    Australian state border restrictions

1-5 year olds can definitely have PCRs, my kids here in london have them every couple of weeks as need them every time they have a sniffle and need to go to school. They get used to them super quickly. Domestic testing is a really bizarre idea though given the lack of true border...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Not good for those of us who live abroad and ineligible for Medicare. As per usual they have forgotten about expat Aussies. Lots of chatter on the expat forums about this.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Strongly disagree with this. If you are resident (whether temporary or permanent, ie not a tourist) everyone should be treated equally.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Lots of people don’t want to get back. the U.K. isn’t using a tech solution though. You show your covid pass to the border force, I don’t think they verify it against an electronic register (at least no one ever has for me). And Americans just have hard copy cards. At the end of the day the...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Well no not the same because you have lots of people who are trapped inside and want to get out of Oz. I agree that MIQ is very suboptimal - but australia is still the only country with a travel ban. And a new variant is absolutely no reason not to open up now (once vax rates are high enough)...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

It’s a bit of a sleight of hand - spinning NSW returning to the pre delta caps as some kind of open border. It was impossible to get on a flight to aus from london pre delta for less than about £4K per economy seat, which is fine if you have £4K but most dont and of course zero tourists will pay...
