Just a quick question the topic of releasing award seats. I notice they all seem to be for international flights (or at least that's what's mainly brought up) - and I'm wondering whether you could also do this for domestic flights, particularly say for the East/West coast flights?

I thought so too...but I have called up the next day in the past where I've made bookings close to midnight and they've been happy to change or cancel the flights. The most recent experience was for red e-deals to HNL a month ago, they were happy to cancel the bookings and the refund appeared in...

Book it, then see if it can be upgraded. If not, call up and cancel it. You have 24 hours to change your mind/cancel bookings with no fees. :)

So after flying today I thought I'd report back. There is no ability for any lounge to store luggage, instead, there is a luggage storage facility run by SmartCarte next to Carousel 5 in arrivals. Worked well, was around $10 for a bag for 8 hours.

Thanks for the replies! So anecdotally, it seems that QF and CX are pretty ok for families, but BA doesn't care? I think I'll just try my luck and see how busy the lounge is on the day or how nice QF is :)

One is a child, the other is a teenager. I was thinking it might be a bit difficult! I do have a thought though. Would it be possible to take say my parents into the OW F Lounge equivalent, and then exit sometime after and join my siblings at the Business Lounge? Has anyone had much experience...
