What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

I was only saying internally we should look at setting a floor and cop the few bips a couple of week back when it was at 66c as I thought the short-medium term is going to be lower, unfortunately it looks that way. The CCP ain't coming to the rescue that people seem to think will happen, for...

What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

If China don't stimulate, the AUD is cactus. However, while a weak China certainly impacts Australian exports, a weak China will impact Global growth and the US will eventually feel it - still not convinced the US doesn't go into recession. AUD cactus though IMO in the short-term, interesting...

What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

4.85% before Phil bids his merry way, while everywhere else is likely holding pretty steady. Then when the proverbial hits the fan here (NZ just about there because they went harder earlier, EU starting to slow as well) - they'll likely be reversing course quickly because they don't take the...

What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

Hopefully with Lowe getting the boot in September that is what happens, but he's probably still looking for a cushy role somewhere so may not want to upset the apple cart. One things for sure, if it doesn't get dealt with rates are going up and more then likely the AUD with it, all the while...

What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

You're right on 2 fronts. No housing plus record immigration, disaster waiting to happen - even though no one wants to speak about it. Then petrol on the barbie, funny enough, one of the main drivers that will force the RBA to keep hiking is exactly the fuel that fires up barbies - gas - and...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

You can guarantee this will change and move forward. And the overseas arrival 'home quarantine; at 80% - won't happen and will get changed given Sydney will already be 6 weeks into their no quarantine.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

We were at a funeral on Friday after a sudden passing, as with so many, a lot of family couldn't make it due to borders - so seeing this announcement by NSW was a good positive on a bad day. It is a move that will force the hand of most other states, just maybe not WA. Given the changing tide...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

This post made me go back and have a look if I had points refunded from a change I made 12 months ago from a OWA, I thought I had but turns out no points refunded (taxes were though). I will be putting this on the list to now chase up this week!!

Card Promotions Qantas Premium AMEX 75k QFF Points

This may not be strictly by the rules and completely against AFF churning 'law', but if I have a card that I need to meet the spend on and know I won't get there - for instance if we have a couple of new cards at the same time and no larger purchases - I just get my partner to request money via...

    Flowers in Toowoomba

The Jacaranda's all still have flowers on them now. While winter can be absolutely miserable up here sometimes with a howling Southerly, spring is a beautiful time of year up this way.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Did I miss something, since when have you been able to apply for Chase cards with only an ITIN? I thought they stopped that a fair while ago....??..

Same here (except no ID required, maybe because I've already been a customer??). Applied Sunday (uploaded payslips then as well) and received 'card on its way' confirmation email midday today - no phone call or anything. Very nice!

Thanks, all done and verfication documents uploaded - we'll see how long it all takes now. Great that this offer was still around, my 12 months exclusion with ANZ ended 9 July and I only just realised!
