Australia to Reduce Incoming Int. Passenger Capacity from July 2021

Someone just posted this on FB and I have no idea if it's genuine. My daughter, her partner and grand-daughter have J tickets on AA for 11th August. They sold their house and most belongings and are currently living in an Airbnb. Their 2 dogs & cat are supposed to flying out at the same time...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Me too. Robd Jnr. has just accepted a job back in Oz (currently in KY, USA) and wants to fly back directly to MEL. Business class tkts are part of the package and the employer wants to book the tkts now for early - mid August 21. Assuming Dan opens the international gate in the next couple of...

Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

The only flights I can find with AC are into BNE via Toronto AND Vancouver. Computer says no when trying to search Air Canada only, which it did also with the outbound flights. Only Smart Search working for me. Oh well, looks like I'll take ANA F ORD-HND & then J from there back to SYD...

Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Air Canada flights not showing up on LM for me. Booked outgoing SYD-xYVR-ORD a couple of weeks ago, but nothing showing for return flights (even 6 weeks before the date). Might have to wing it via HND on ANA. Did I miss something regarding AC?

    Kentucky Bourbon

I think if you're heading to Kentucky, then this should be on your 'must do' list as part of the history of this area. I should add as part of the 'when in Rome' theory, I also did this ;) lol.

    Kentucky Bourbon

The Artisanal Distiller Jodie Filiatreau hard at work. The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience only makes one barrel per day. Into the tasting room. My favourite was the Evan Williams Single Barrel.

    Kentucky Bourbon

You also learn of the bourbon making process and the requirements needed to call it bourbon and not whiskey.

    Kentucky Bourbon

The tour takes you through the history of the relationship between Evan Williams and how bourbon was produced in the early days pre and post prohibition days. Surprised to learn of the relationship with the Beam name. The door to the 'speak easy' looked like a bank vault. Inside the...

    Kentucky Bourbon

For the record, I'm not a bourbon drinker, but had an opportunity to visit the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, so when in Rome... This tour is situated on 'Whiskey Row' in Louisville Kentucky and is informative and enjoyable. Evan Williams is one of the Heaven Hill Distillery's brands who...

    Kentucky - Thunder Over Louisville.

The only downside to this event was the road blocks after the show. All access to the freeways and side streets are blocked off until 11:30pm, which even the locals don't understand. It took us about 1 and a half hours to move about 5 miles. It is recommended to sit it out, relax and have a...

    Kentucky - Thunder Over Louisville.

With the airshow finished, it was time for the fireworks. A fantastic display with fireworks off the bridge and barges on the Ohio River. Easily the best I've ever seen.
