Not surprising they’ve removed platinum and diamond, they are rubbish, would only use if came with a mortgage package etc. New card with international fees waived is good, hopefully might inspire AMEX to do that on their premium cards.
ANZ lounge sounds good compared to my last QR flight out of Sydney, they offered us the priority lounge once we were kicked out of QF F loungue, I ended up getting a kebab in the food court instead, better experience… 🤣
And emirates etc show no signs of opening their lounges yet. I was allowed into the priory lounge, popped my head in then went to the bar, I would have preferred a voucher 🤣
I flew out of Sydney mid June on a one world flight, sadly they are still closing the F lounge after the last qantas flight departs, despite the later flights being code share flights. We were all politely kicked out expect for some CL members. Hopefully they will be able to have more late QF...

I travel a lot developing counties, this is a crowd favourite… A close second is taking every opportunity to loiter in doors or narrow spaces to block everyone. “Civilians” at Sydney airport love doing this at the entry to departures and the arrivals cattle run..
Well if you’re thirsty and paid for a “premium” flight… I’m not sure what other more important duties they have, I assume they weren’t employing silver service to distribute the brownies.
They probably decided to get going with a skeleton Qantas presence in DFW, it should be fairly easy to arrange busses and hotels there. Airlines are notorious for overly optimistic repair time frames, financially it’s better off overall to piss of the passengers rather than have them all...
First time I’ve heard of someone being keen to eat QF Y food 🤣, but you’d think they might have thrown in cheese and crackers if peole wanted them, given it’s almsot 3.5hrs. Did they refuse requests for extra drinks? If I’m flying Y I either eat before take off or bring a sandwich etc, no need...
Not for 8 hours, the EK lounges have decent resting areas if not too crowded. If you want to there is an airport hotel, I wouldn’t think it’s worth it for 8 hours unless you had a bad flight.
Yeah big difference between living and having a heart beat, I worked in a nursing home years ago and forcing people to stay in the home longer than strictly necessary with no visitors is a kind of torture. Instead of wasting hundreds of billions forcing healthy people with almost no chance of...
So you think the VIC system was better even though it failed badly, interesting...
I was in Sydney quarantine end of June, there were no problems, everything went smoothly and professional guards . I wonder if a heavy police/military presence, a credible reporting chain, and the use of...
