Another data point..my review date was Feb 28th.
My new review date is 13 March, 2024.
However I've done a bit of flying during my review period and none of that has appeared in my new status year.

A few teething problems with my new Velocity number.
No upcoming flights in there including a flight on Thursday….
Plus when you try to enter your booking ref details to retrieve flight...nothing. Even after changing booking to new Velocity number.
Will be interesting to see how this...

A follow up to this...I tried to make this happen today and was told by someone in the overseas call centre that because i had nominated someone for companion Platinum already this membership year, it was not possible to do it again. Frustrating and ridiculous.
I’ll be in the same boat with around 4000 status credits this year. Will be interesting to see what VA do about another tier.
Does anyone know if you can gift more than one membership in a year? Eg I’ve gifted platinum already this year and already have enough SC’s to technically gift another...
Yes he can activate it any time in the next 12 months (from the date he gets the additional status credits).
He just needs to ring the Platinum line and they will activate immediately.
It was 2:30pm and the lounge didn’t seem that busy.
My only thought was that maybe they were expecting a VIP group to arrive in the lounge.
I’ve never had a problem using other lounges on arrival (even with guests), so I’ll put this down to a glitch. ;)
I flew into to Adelaide on Thursday last week and thought I would drop into the lounge for a coffee as a Platinum Frequent Flyer.
I presented my boarding pass and was told I couldn't come in, as they were "protecting the lounge for high value departing passengers"
