Idea for VA - ditch the CC fee for using a Velocity card

Virgin Money is a different company to the VA airline, the only thing they share is the brand name. The financial services company is as related to the airline as Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Music. And the fee is "covers a range of costs, activities, fees and charges in relation...

    BNE-GLT Fare Shock

Virgin don't service this route on Saturday. With regard to fare price, the lead-in fare is $59 each way. ...though I just did a search for this weekend, and Save fares are still available; so your round trip can be less than $250.

Idea's for further Virgin and or Velocity benefits

I think waiving the change fee to upgrade a booking is a great idea, but as suggested, the issue then becomes people who upgrade just to cancel with a full refund. I take your point that a new fare rule could be added saying Saver fares which are upgraded still incurr a cancellation fee, but...

    Ahh Virgin!

Reward Seat availability is different to J Cabin capacity...you can call the contact centre, but they will check the same fares which the website uses. So, if you really want to fly Premium, try and Any Seat fare.

Firstly, let me start with my opinion; I understand the concerns and completely agree with the arguments raised in this thread, but I don't think that you need to pass on feedback. It's not that the feedback wouldn't be valid -- it would -- but it's more to do with the fact you have started a...

ANZ booking on QF to earn with Velocity

If ease of transit is your goal, then there is a NZ$423 option with Air New Zealand which connects through Christchurch. The ZQN-CHC sector has a number of options (the latest being 12:55PM), all connecting onto the 3:25PM departure from CHC to arrive in BNE at 5:15pm. This would reduce your...

ANZ booking on QF to earn with Velocity

Are you booking a formal connection? I ask because I can't find any NZ flights which connect with QF! If you aren't considering a direct ZQN-BNE flight (to earn status credits for example), then why not consider connecting onto a Virgin Australia or Pacific Blue operated service? For example...

Virgin Australia Changes - Effect on Virgin Flyer Card Buy 1 Get 1 Free

This is absolutely correct! As a handy hint, you can identify F class Saver fares on the website as these are shown with a "Sale Fare" icon. If the lowest Saver fare available is not F class (eg, R Class), then the "Sale Fare" graphic will not appear, and the 2FOR1 offer is not available on...
