The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

They sometimes only release 1 saver. Take that one and then search again and book the second person as advantage. Other option is to travel on separate flights or days to your partner. I always search for 1 pax 1st as searching for 2 will not indicate if there is a cheaper saver flight for at...

The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

You cannot upgrade your business class using Saver availability in First. I would purchase the Saver First flight, but use your receipt for the business class paid seat to get a reimbursement from work. Then cancel the business class flight and pocket your refund. I don't have a moral issue with...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I am planning to use sniip with Amex. For my circumstances it is a 48% tax deduction and my points earning rate is slightly higher then Platinum Amex. I will try to be diligent like you daft009 and do the maths to determine how much it ends up costing me to fly in 1st to Europe return - I...

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

Availability is not an issue if you can get organised. We have return flights to Europe all in First in March , June and September next year. I have previously listed the Centurion benefits upstream. Mostly worth it if you spend a lot (more points per $ spent) , travel a lot (my RM is...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I have been using Amex and Sniip to pay ATO. It is fast, reliable and good value. When I last worked it out, the fees from Sniip equate to a cost of about A$4000 for a return 1st class flight to Europe with Singapore Airline. This does take into account the tax deduction for Sniip fees. It will...

KrisFlyer redemption rates increasing [from 5/7/22]

The staff unfortunately have no idea. I am communicating them via chatbot live agent now in order to change a date for F flights - they are arguing with me. I have now quoted them their own FAQ - this is taking them a long time to absorb.! They just told me that I will need more points as my...

F booking downgraded to J after change from 777 to A350

That is really pathetic service. Can you try to change the flight online via the change date option under manage my bookings? The other option is to use the chat option online to a real person ( after 11am Melb/Syd time). Found some of these chat reps better than the phone service. Good luck.

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

after 48hrs delay they pay $6000. all they wanted was receipts of what I purchased while waiting for the luggage to return. When I found out they pay 6k, I made sure I spent it! Replacement value was not relevant as not lost just delayed.

Amex Australia - Centurion Card Eligibility

My Centurion just paid for itself. Our luggage was delayed on the way to Europe. The Amex insurance paid $6000! Not sure what other amex card insurances would have paid but I suspect less.
