I was advised by an operator from Hobart CC today, that if your international request is approved, then Qantas will make seats available for the domestic connections. Regardless of if there are any available fare classes for the domestic connection requests.

My advice would be to get the seats released, before buying the wine. Once the seats are confirmed you can hold them for a couple of days before “buying” them.

The stars aligned on Monday evening and I was successful in the release of 2x U seats for the SYD-YVR leg. Exactly 2 weeks out from departure.

I stumbled upon a Facebook article at 6am last Thursday. The article was published just before midnight! When I found the listings on AirBnB, there were 4 or 5 different flights available for over an hour.

I was lucky enough to get two F tickets to LAX on the first day of the promo.

I am so happy that I got mine on the first day! Don't have to worry about beating bots.
