Cancel Amex card - comp flight still available?

If you cancel it no, but you should be able to book the flight and then cancel the card without issues.

Is it Time to transfer/withdraw points from Velocity?

Received this today from the Harvey Norman contact given on my iPad confirmation email. Ordered from the Velocity store an hour before it went dark.

Storing Credit Cards in Phone Cases and using Apple Pay

They don't differentiate. It would be the same as putting two credit cards onto a Paypass terminal. It might work, might not, and you'd have to guess which one would be successful until it showed on the terminal.

Card Promotions ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum: 75,000 QFF points. $0 fee.

Original deal was completely free for the first year.

Card Promotions ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum: 75,000 QFF points. $0 fee.

I don't believe the original offer is still available. It looks like a similar but slightly worse deal at the same link. From the t&cs yes you must pay the $55 in the first year.

Card Promotions ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum: 75,000 QFF points. $0 fee.

In the T&Cs: "For ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum, a Total Annual Fee of $295 applies which includes a $240 Annual Account Fee and a $55 Rewards Program Services Fee." 75k points for $55 would still be the best deal out there I can see at the moment.

When did you apply? Tempted by this for obvious reasons but missed it when it was up on Point Hacks. There doesn't seem to be a date on the website but offers have been queried for less.

    ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure Card

Yep. It's a standard travel agent booking on your behalf that you can then upgrade through your Velocity account online.

    ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure Card

    1. Yes you're earning ANZ Rewards day to day 2. But the sign up bonus is Velocity and goes straight to your Velocity account 3. You can convert ANZ Rewards to a number of things including Velocity

    ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure Card

I haven't tried it but it's a standard booking that you can upgrade and change seats on etc so I imagine the usual (fairly onerous) Getaway conditions would apply. So no name changes but you can change the flight for a fee + cost difference...

    ANZ Rewards Travel Adventure Card

Yes, unlike the direct Velocity free flights with eg Amex, it's booked by a travel agent (Pinpoint travel iirc) on your behalf as a standard booking that you then get access to modify or upgrade if you so fancy. You can even see how much they paid for it, which is nice to see when it's more than...
