Booking business class award options for family of 4

Have a look at OW out of HKG. BA/CX sometimes offer 4 seats. Emirates also do but very high taxes. Also via Qantas you can also get seats on Air France and KLM. Sometimes. Tks Ollie

Qantas or Singapore Airlines BNE - BKK regularly

The transfer QF to Jetstar in Changi is actually quite easy - the bus is at the C gates, near where Qantas normally arrives from Brisbane. If QF51 arrives on time you have time for dinner at the QF lounge. If it arrives a bit late, you go straight to the bus and graba a quick bite in the Jetstar...

Philippines Airlines feedback - transiting through Manila

Dear community, I see lots of feedback online about flying Philippines Airlines and "transiting" in Manila. Realistically, how bad is this process? In our case we will fly into Manila from Brisbane and then fly onto Hong Kong the next day. I assume as one ticket they will check luggage all...

Melbourne min. connection time at 19:30

Hi team I arrive into MEL at 19:35 on a Friday with hand-luggage only, travelling on EK. I need to make it to Brisbane same day and the only options seem to JQ at 20:55 or VA at 21:40. At first glance, it seems the VA option is the most sensible, with 20.55 being a little bit too tight...

Flights to Hong Kong - Christmas

You need to go back to 24th Nov with Philippine airlines at 2k to improve on the $3k with Singapore airlines. Will have to keep watching 1st-9th to see if anything better opens up.

Flights to Hong Kong - Christmas

Looking at flights Brisbane to Hong Kong on 10th December, 2 adults, 2 children. Wondering if it is a bit early but we have: Singapore Airlines (1 Stop) $2,962 Philippine Airlines (1 Stop) $3,867 Qantas via Sydney $5,647!!!!! Cathay direct $6,145 Is it a case of waiting for more airlines...

BA / Qantas rewards during peak period

I had a look at Singapore-LHR on BA and they go within about 5 minutes of being released despite the 500 SGD surcharge per person! Pretty sure the peak calendar only changes the avios amount, not the Qantas points amount via QF rewards. Hopefully Cathay start ramping up, i've seen a couple of...

BA / Qantas rewards during peak period

Hi community, I was wondering if BA restricts oneworld awards i.e. via Qantas during their peak calendar? Or maybe the peak calendar only applies to Avios meaning you pay more avios during that period, Thanks! Ollie

Finnair to Finnair connection - separate PNRs

I think flying the day before is the right way to go + hotel near airport. Otherwise it's a 4.30am wake up to get the morning flight!

Finnair to Finnair connection - separate PNRs

Hi, We are considering two separate tickets / PNRs - London to Helsinki arriving into Helsinki at 15:15 local time, 2nd August, ticketed on Finnair. Then, Helsinki-BKK on Finnair metal but ticketed on Qantas departure 17.20. I think given one is Qantas "ticketed", they won't through check...

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

T That's awesome thanks. I guess the query remains as to if QF as the ticketing entity puts you on a different flight in the same class. I'd always assumed not if there wasn't reward inventory avaialble, Thanks

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

Ok thanks, Its a QF business rewards ticket, so I believe if the flight is cancelled they try and get you to your destination in whatever class, i.e. economy, or just refund the points!

Flight Availability/Loadings & Upgrade Probability Help Desk

Hi all, We have a Cathay award flight in business booked via Qantas. CX 256 depart Mon 1 Aug at 20:10. This flight is no longer showing on the Cathay Website or Google ITA MAtrix search, but still shows confirmed on the "manage booking" section on the cathay website. Any ideas? If it was...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I'm sure it's been discussed before, but I don't see QLD getting to 90% double dose, at all. I also wonder if this QLD government talk of 14 days home quarantine between 80% and 90% is more of a gradual walk-back from tough policies to save face. Maybe they'll drop it once we hit 80-85%? Or for...

    Krisflyer redemptions and nominees

Good afternoon all, My parents have enough points to redeem to two tickets for us to go from Australia to Singapore - our family being two adults and two children. How then would you go about purchasing tickets 3 and 4 in cash? I'm assuming you can't buy 2 child tickets on their own as they...
