I thought that the scanners in the lounge read the barcode on the back of the card. I put the card up to the window when I entered the lounge. The top didn't seem to work for me. I guess my old gold card may not have had a chip. My current silver one definitely does though.

I was just looking through the old Qantas product manual from the 90's and found the layout of the 767 with first class. Is there anyone out there with some photos of the 767 first class cabin? I have tired searching the web with no luck. Attached is seat map.

Does anyone know what this bag tag means? I did have a few problems with the bag drop. Is this related to a faulty bag tag? I had some problems with one of the bag drop terminals.

I didn't think that Qantas had any First class services that departed from BNE and hence the lack of investment in the lounge. However it would be great to see a new lounge given the recent expansion of the international terminal and to finally bring Brisbane up to the standard of SYD or MEL...

Thanks for the info. I didn't realise that you could use any of the OW lounges while travelling in J. I will have to wait to see what gate I'm departing from but will definitely give the Pier or Wing a look in. Maybe check out the Qantas J lounge if it is nearby.

Great to use to select your seats, however in some ports (Mount Isa) they still require you to get a boarding pass as they do not yet have the scanners :(. Even if you have carry on luggage they send you back to the queue to get a BP. It wouldn't be as bad if they had a check-in for business /...

Is it possible to book in First class on domestic flights that leave from the international terminals in Australia? It should be possible but I have yet to find anywhere that will let you check/book availibility on these flights. Anyone had any success or is it not possible to book these fares?
