I fear I may have to set aside a day and phone Qantas (reading a novel whilst in the wait queue).
I had two flight credits, one which was converted into a TP recently, but the other flight still remains a Flight Credit. Having tried to use it last year by phone booking was a nightmare. Qantas...
Just using this old Thread for a more recent discussion of a Flight Credit Redemption Debacle>
From flights cancelled in June and July I obtained two Flight Credits. Each Flight Credit was for my wife and I and I was trying to use some of the value on flight bookings later this year.
I tried to...
It might be related but last year I booked a QF flight DWN-ADL-MEL for later this month using a Classic Reward.
Having to cancel it now due to the Victoriastanian lockdown, I tried to cancel it online, but instead of showing up as a refund of taxes plus points recredit it showed as just a flight...
QF cancelled two domestic flights and subsequently I cancelled a third on three separate PNRs, two were Classic Rewards bookings. After about 4 weeks the first points have been refunded in full but no sign of any credit card refunds yet.
First signs today of the refunded points from the first flight that I cancelled (well when they convert a MEL=PER-BME booking to PER-BME what use is it?) but no signs of the refund on my credit card. They had cancelled the KNX-DWN sector earlier but no signs of that credit either.
In February I had booked separate flights, 2 using Classic Rewards in June, MEL - Per - Bme, Knx - Drw and Drw - Adl - Mel.
First QF cancelled the sector from Knx and then the leg from Mel to Per. This was before I had official cancellation of the cruise I had booked, so I managed the...
Flying with baggage through CAN (Guangzhou) from experience has been traumatic on our bags. My wife had a suitcase wheel ripped off once, presumably on the conveyor systems and another time one of our suitcases arrived after an internal Chinese flight with hastily repaired tape all over one side...
AKL was a mirage in the desert while transiting on LA801 from SCL in Y to SYD. The cafe at AKL was very welcome after LAs abysmal food service. No wonder QF to SCL is popular.
I can see why transits through the US to Europe and South America are unpopular. Their TSA and the need for E visa...
I'm flying VA and VS to LHR then BA to KEF on separate tickets, leaving MEL this Sat AM. I'll ask on the remote chance but I'm not holding out much hope.
