Somewhat similar - I flew BNE-MEL on Wed 03/04, full J ticket, but only booked Y for the return MEL-BNE 07/04 yesterday afternoon / evening as they wanted over $1000 for J. Bid $100 ($10 over minimum) and got the upgrade
For the first time, I spent at 7-11 and no velocity points have come through. Did a gas swap n go and bought fuel (and used a Fuel Lock, got a "congratulations on the savings" in the app) on 03/03, nothing in Velocity which normally pops up after 24hours. Tried googling of how to lodge a claim...
Maybe they should have co-ordinated their email mail outs a little better - I got a 10% bonus email from Velocity but a 15% bonus from Amex (Platinum Charge Card). Definitely prefer 15%!
CBA do seem to be tough on cards recently - I'm an ex-CBA staff member (albeit almost 20 years ago), have multiple mortgages with CBA and all accounts. I applied for an increase in limit from $10k to $15k on the Ultimate and got knocked back. (ps salary $185kpa).
Realised it would be easier...
As mentioned, pretty much everyone is in Terminal 2 except Hawaiian with their own Terminal 1. It's a very laid back airport (as are the people!) and it's no rush or issue transferring anyway. I was there in November last year. We flew Southwest from Kona to Honolulu, very easy flight.
Thanks for this, I just had a look (had to logon to Netbank via PC, not on the App) and it appears my Ultimate has also been added to my Wealth Package as at 13 July 23. So I'd say its automatically been done for everyone.
Which is ok, except would have been good to have been told! Because...
I meant to post this the other day - BNE to LAX on 28/05, economy. This was the Asian chicken salad. Didn’t look great, but surprisingly tasty. (Sorry took a photo before taking the plastic off).
Good point. I actually don't need to pick up from the Seattle Airport as I'll be there a week before I need the car, so will check other locations (although I've noticed the price seemed to be higher if I didn't select the Airport pickup).
Definitely a reminder to still take my own photos.
Ok...
Very interesting reading, thanks to all. I've always used economycarrentals (or similar) for overseas bookings, but realised I have AVIS Preferred through Amex Platinum. The prices seem to be the same for what I am looking at (USA in June this year). The only thing putting me off is what...
Just to add, I booked the Shangri-La in Sydney via the FHR amex booking system, earlier this month for a stay on the 13th of May, and it worked fine. Weird that it has changed since then!
