I have an award ticket booked through Qantas - BNE-MEL (QANTAS) - MEL-HKG (CATHAY) - HKG-LHR (BA).
I have been told that I can check my bags at Brisbane Domestic right through to LHR. Is this true given that it is three different airlines? If I do need to collect and recheck bags in HKG - the...
Booked a flight on BA on Thursday night through Qantas website PE Classic Reward flight LHR > SIN. Obviously taxes were in pounds and I paid on my Amex Credit Card. I have received an e-ticket and and the booking appears in both my QFF Account and on the BA website. Is it normal for the...
Yes if Mel > HKG gets cancelled I would imagine that the whole booking would be a problem. I would have to call and see if alternative can be sorted. Otherwise back up flight Sydney to LHR via Singapore is 2 days after original flight - so would still have that up my sleeve.

Sorry if this is a silly question. I have made a booking for BNE>MEL>HKG>LHR for July next year. The MEL>HKG sector is with Cathay. I booked these flights as it was all I could find with business sectors. I am now reading that Cathay is having issues and lots of cancellations. I am hoping...
So even though the first flight from BNE is from the domestic terminal I should be able to check in right through? The second flight is with Cathay to Hong Kong and final flight with British Airlines to London all on the one booking/ticket.
I have a flight Qantas Business BNE to MEL and then connecting on to HKG Business on Cathay Pacific. My question is (never done this before) if I check bags in Brisbane do I need to collect and re-check in MEL international as it is a different airline? I have a 1 hour 45 min connection time...
