Overseas based members, such as myself, have exactly the same rights as Australian or NZ based members.
We are all governed by the same T&Cs which IIRC operate under NSW law.[/b]
From the QF website
Forms of Identification
If you have an e-ticket and are travelling domestically within Australia (flights QF400 and above), you are required to produce photographic identification at check in. If you do not have any form of photographic identification contact...
If you are considering relying on a CC policy check the definitions and the coverage. "Trip" is usually quite interesting - I doubt it covers a taxi fare in your home town. Also make sure you read any flyers that are mailed with your statement - they may make changes to the coverage at anytime...

QF make something like 80% of its flying business's operating profits from the SYD-MEL, SYD-LAX & SYD-LHR routes. Accepting that and assuming that all routes are contributing to overheads on the basis of ASK's (Available Seat Kilometres) then their must be many routes that are marginal...

I am sure Dave will have the original post by Kawoh where he went and deleted all his posts.
In the T&C's it states that points and SC's will only be given for flights actually flown. This has no relationship to whether you are on a refundable fare or not.
You have to fly to get points & SC's for flying.
The QF points for any QF flight usually post very soon (probably instantaneously) after the flight is 'closed' from an operational point of view. I am not sure of when this is but it is sometime after 'door closed' and before 'door open' at destination.
NO QF Club entry either when travelling on staff tickets (non revenue or sub load is the QF term I think) unless you happen to be Platinum and then you have right to roam in QF Clubs.
Another quirky Travel Insurance story - my Mother in law had a fall and broke her false teeth.
When reading the fineprint of her particular policy I discovered that dentures fall under the optical cover - strange one but covered all but $50 and the excess of the policy.
Moral - if you...
