Well I'm having exactly the same issue with the Qanats site - trying to book WLG-Syd-HND and NRT-BNE-Wlg - all Qantas metal - I can book with a NZ travel agent but not qantas itself - its bizarre
No worries about free anything - we've saved a lot of cash for a few points using WJ - plus their generous carry on limit means hopefully I won't need to check anything !
