April 13 - Chatsworth House 3/3 Well there was so much beauty to share including a violin hanging on a door and has never been played because it’s a painting!!!! A picture gallery, a sculpture gallery too. Included some views of garden from the house.

April 13 - Chatsworth House 2/3 A perfect example of English Baroque and Italianate architecture built progressively over several centuries. Only dropping some of the highlights of some of the staterooms. I really enjoyed this visit as was well organised. The car park to house was easy access...

April 13 - Chatsworth House (1/3) This was the most impressive and beautiful in terms of the stately homes I’ve chosen to visit. The painted hall is something else in a private home as compared to the Vatican.

April 12 - continuing rest of the day onto Castle Howard (2/2) - The gardens highlight is the Atlas Fountain, pavilion of 4 winds.

    The view from my "office"

April 12 - continuing rest of the day onto Castle Howard (1/2) A great home to visit as they were designed by John Vanbrugh (not completed in his lifetime) and Nicholas Hawksmoor (garden monuments) The dome was the key attraction. It was rebuilt after being burnt down in 1940 to the original...

Sorry did not stay local. Even had to bypass Durham which is a wonderful place to visit I’ve been told. Opted for York to get closer to Castle Howard which was my next destination.

Unfortunately not, am back now in Oz. It got a bit hectic last week to post. Did hit the big 4 stately homes on the drive down from Edinburgh to London. Highlights in upcoming post 😊

Late post - 11 April office: Alnwick Castle, Garden. Cherry blossom grove made up for not being in Japan. Poison garden tour was a treat and stories were so interesting in that some ordinary plants if ingested enough or the wrong bits can cause death. Killer rhubarb was my particular fav as...

    General Medical issues thread

Oh yes. Just adds to the stress especially if you just want to not be there mentally. Mine was about all the treatment she had to go through so far…. So sorry you’re subjected to that. Not fun. Not sure what you can do. Maybe bring your own noise cancelling headphones.

No idea which oat milk. Just like that it’s not too sweet. Unlike the ones we get in the shop in Oz.

T3 SilverKris Lounge, my first visit since refurb. Certainly way more space than before. Was not too crowded this morning between 0930 to 1030 today. There’s lots of nice corners to hide away. But AC was very lacking… maybe just me. This feature I really loved as I’ve not had chocolate milk...

Ughh. Piper loaded today on SQ217. And no Rioja either but replaced with French Bordeaux. Excellent attentive service as always.
