Flying CX J on QF redemption JFK-HKG-PER. What lounge will we have access to at Terminal 8 at JFK? Our flight leaves at 1.35am so thought we’ve have dinner in the city then head out and hopefully have a shower in the lounge. Any advice? Thanks.

Yes, it was definitely worth a try. I have to say, although Flightright were unsuccessful they were pretty good with updates and asking for extra information.

An update...nearly two years later Flightright were unable to obtain compensation under EU261 from Emirates.

Scash, our original plan was to fly in J from Perth to Hong Kong to JFK but nothing available as I’m QFF Bronze. Flying Y to HNL is doable (we’ve done it before and it’s nit so bad). We can get J flights from JFK to get us home so that’s why we inverted our itinerary.
