I spent a day going throught AMEX plat insurance and also searched SCTI, Covermore and Travelinsuranz. It doesn't look good... don't think it will cover business seats for 3 routes (part of OWA) which will be cancelled if JL52 is delayed : HND - JFK LAX - HND HND - SYD What should my back up...

Nothing wrong. Like what Dajob said, it is a new route so I doubt they will cancel it anytime soon. The route did get cancelled a long time ago and was supposed to be back in 2020 but covid stopped that. Good to have the reassurance the airline will make alternative arrangements though

That's good. I would assume SQ will help get flights from SEA to YVR too then. Haha yes I am. 1 failed flight can do a huge ripple effect

What happens if you are booked to fly with SQ but they end up cancelling that route? Do they refund you, wipe their hands clean and say sorry, we can't help you or will they try to accommodate you through another city/airport?
