How to apply Chase Sapphire Reserve in Australia

Yes I do. As cove said, I hear it can be done without a SSN, specifically with BofA.

Reduced AMEX earn rates from April 2019

Been thinking about VS as well for their ANA and DL redemptions, especially as I'm US-based most of the year.

Yeah issues here too. It was like this for 24 hours or so a week or two ago.

Any point having a USA Credit Card for AUS?

Similar to cove, I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred card that I use locally, then pay it off monthly from funds I have in a US bank account. It works especially well for restaurants and travel expenses here, because Chase's bonus categories are worldwide.

Christmas Bonus Of Up To 10,000 Velocity Points (2018)

I just received a phone call from Autobarn asking me if I wanted to pick up my ‘click and collect order from November.’ They offered to put the item back on the shelf but mark it as picked up, so I would still get the Velocity points. Of course I accepted that offer.

How to apply Chase Sapphire Reserve in Australia

It took two years of building credit in the US until Chase approved me for my first card (CSP). BofA and Amex on the other hand...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

None of my US-issued cards have foreign transaction fees, but you're right, it's the exchange rate that makes it risky.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I do wonder about using my US-issued Amex, the ATO website doesn't list a separate fee for foreign Amex cards. Or even a US-issued Visa with a good earn rate via EBP.

Reduced AMEX earn rates from April 2019

Is this the beginning of the end for Amex in Australia? I'm glad I have my US-based Amex cards. With no foreign transaction fees I might be better off using them for my Australian spend rather than the local Amex cards.

Virgin Money credit cards (linked to Velocity rewards)

I received my voucher via email today, the day after I requested it. That was a nice surprise.

Virgin Money credit cards (linked to Velocity rewards)

My email says "From 4 April 2016 it will be replaced with an annual $129 Virgin Australia Gift Voucher." So maybe check tomorrow.
