Rental Car Damaged Prior to Pickup

My experience with Hertz , Sydney Airport in July, 2014 left an indelible impression. We'd pre booked a nice car, specifically requesting a white one and used the Gold 5* to upgrade it (Off to a wedding ), landed in Syd and went to pick up the car in the dingy car park at domestic right on...

Virgin and Jetstar cancel Bali flights due to Volcanic eruptions

Hiya Chris, now that sounds rather a splendid suggestion. We just got cancelled from tonight's flight, I'm looking at alternatives. AIR ASIAS prices just went from $300 odd each seat to somewhere north of $900. On an altogether different note, we went to arguably the best Italian restaurant in...

Virgin and Jetstar cancel Bali flights due to Volcanic eruptions

I am in Seminyak too, been stuck since the 8th, rebooked on Virgin on the 15th, a weeks delay. We're in a nice hotel, with insurance cover, heard of people that aren't so fortunate. Guess it's a waiting game now.

    Infants in premium cabins

Some kids just cannot be settled , doesn't matter how much the parents try. They make drugs for children too, they can be tranquilised. A potion every once in a while isn't going to harm them, nor turn them in to raving drug fiends.

Earning Points and Status on Any Seat Rewards

Hi All, Klav here, I don't often post in the VA threads, but had an odd conversation with a very pleasant VA customer service person. I wanted to know if "Redemption" points purchased seats were included in the double status promotion. She said she had to get her team leader. Came back and said...

    Should I go to Iraq?

Sounds like the OP is off to the Taza PSC. The most dangerous parts are driving to Jacksons and the helicopter from DBX-ISU in Kurdistan to site.

Hertz Car Hire Sydney, 2 days, 72 KMs, $646 charge

It's really interesting and encouraging to hear of others having similar issues with Hertz at Sydney Aiport. Dodgy doesnt come close to these underhanded practices, it sounds polished and well rehearsed. Are they in cahoots with a friendly repair mob? Do they just whack a figure through on a...

    Unusual checked luggage

Did it have a lid? Flying in Eastern Europe, West Africa, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands tends to inure you to what would be considered bizarre or possibly dangerous in many other parts.
