Thanks I guess it make sense to have the reserve as the companion just because of the $400 travel credit.

As part of the Plat Charge - you are entitled to a "companion" card - Mine is a Reserve - Just interested to know if anyone else had their Edge or Explorer linked as a companion card with the annual fees then waived as a result?

Darn it - I have the Charge as well and didn't receive the letter confirming. I just rang Amex and they confirmed they will effectively double the points balance on 14 April and credit it on 15 June (2 months later). And to think.... i have been cracking my head how to transfer it...

I am sorry if this sounds like a silly question and if i missed the joke - but has Amex confirmed they will double our points to make up for the devaluation ? I had read it somewhere else before Christmas too but haven't seen any official notification. The points are quite close to my heart...

Book it from the Amex Travel website (AU) - after login in as a platinum charge member. - another bugbear is that the travel credits which they grant you - cant be used for FHR bookings ! If you book travel using the travel credits at say an Accor or other hotel chain hotels - those hotels...
