    QR OP Ugrades?

As a QR Platinum more often than not I get an op upgrade on most long haul flights, was just upgraded SYD-DOH-MAD to J from y. But here may be the kicker. I normally book the flexible Y fares so this may have something to do with the upgrades. Before the embargo I was always upgraded even from...

QR award availability down to 219 days???

AS a QR Emerald I can see award availability for CBR-DOH but here is the kicker, the SYD-DOH leg is normal award pricing in J but when CBR-DOH is selected then it is double the award Miles (flexi award). Going on this metric, maybe the CBR-DOH is not available to other oneworld award programs.

Booking QF Economy (B) international fares

I called the Qantas customer service booking and they could book the above flight so I guess the easiest method is to find the flights on ITA matrix and book them with QF over the phone.

Booking QF Economy (B) international fares

Just wondering how to book QF Economy (B) international fares. Seems impossible to do from generic website booking engines. I know that the fare is flexi but is there any way to know during the flight selection process to see whether the fare bucket is either H Y or B. Am I missing something...

Unaccompanied Minor in J Class access to TBIT QF J Lounge

OP here again. When I recently arrived at LAX terminal 4 with my wheel chair bound grandmother they did give me a pass (looked like a boarding pass of some sort) to escort her and wait air side until she boarded the plane. Would think that a 7 year old with a J ticket should be able to wait in...

Unaccompanied Minor in J Class access to TBIT QF J Lounge

HI all, My 7 year old is traveling in J on AA from LAX-SYD. Her mother is being allowed through security until my 7 year old boards the plane. Are my daughter and her mother allowed into the QF TBIT J Lounge?. After all, my daughter has a J fare.

    Qantas Switch ?

Hard to know which is best for you, if you fly paid J a lot in non AA OW airlines you may still not make status with AA now that you need 12k? I think EQD's to maintain EXP. If you don't intend to fly to NA with AA then this may be tough, you have to spend at least 48k in airfares in J with...

    AA points purchase limit

You need to start a third account, perhaps a relative or son/daughter who does not fly. Buy some miles and then transfer (although the transfer may cost money).

    Checking CX availability

This is my experience, not all CX available flights will show as available to AA even though they are available to BA and QF. Plenty of times I have seen AA72 available on AA and not QF, and seem plenty of QF domestic flights not available to AA. Very often I have to book separately on AA to...

    The Mother Of All Debacles

No, for this reason. If AA72 is late (as often it can be), you may be dumped to the remote terminal which means that a connection on AS may be missed, plus it took almost 2 hours to get through Passport control last Tuesday when I landed on AA72, if you have purchased the cheapest fare, expect...

    The Mother Of All Debacles

Not sure which FF you are with, but if AA try for mileage points compensation with a letter to the CEO, if not AA, then I suggest you do have an AA account in the future, I am sure that if you traveled F to LAX with another FF program AA would likely give you 10k miles as compensation.

    New Flagship Lounges

The AA flagship lounges traditionally are small, the major reason is that domestic AA EXP members not flying internationally that day or in F (three class trans con) are not allowed to use them so in general they have that comfortable feel to them. Just returned from LA Flagship lounge on AA73...

Purchase up to 150,000 points per annum

Just my 2 cents worth on the issue of AA miles. While the actual BIS miles have been slashed for most Y passengers I wouldn't be surprised if AA begins all sorts of crazy promotions such as pass 100,000 qualifying miles and get 30,000 bonus miles or hotel offers such as the Wyndham 3000 miles...
