We've done Adel - Per twice. F100 front row was OK, that was 2019 and we could buy Chardonnay and feel kind of happy. Last october our flight was cancelled and rebooked, in both cases A320 but our seating was up back and cough warm Sav Blanc. Hellship. Never again.

Seemingly - what possible benefit do they get advertising a Platinum perk then bumping her out of it? Not like they had sold Economy X out as there was still seats empty. We're also QF Plats, so we may well jump ship from VA after we use up a pile of travel credits.

My lovely wife (Platinum) was bumped out of Row 3 and into row 6 on the way to and from Melbourne this weekend. On the flight down, her previously allocated seat in row 3 was empty! And flying into Sydney Sunday arvo, the crew did not alert pax to the need to download and fill in an entry form...

Applied for refund Feb 26, received in July. I'd almost given up, it was $13,400 for 2 x RTW J tix. Cancelled by me, as the Sydney > Hong Kong leg (to be flown in June) was cancelled so the whole ticket became refundable.

Most airport hotels sell a day room, some quote silly prices but just walk to the next one. They are usually clustered in walking distance.

VA have really pushed forward with the J catering, continual improvement..... It is GOOD.

VA417 Adel/Syd on 21 July, snack is potato and spinach warm thing with tomato relish. Other option was a chicken sandwich. Perfectly adequate, great service by Zoe, a true brand ambassador!

VA442 Syd/Adel Friday 19 July. Superb service by Alex, we both had the chicken pasta with celerac, walnuts, raisons, kale and ricotta. Delicious! Wine was plentiful. World class.
