QF A380 out of action for 6 weeks

Just to give you our experience with this - we were booked on the bulkhead rows on the A380. We are flying JFK - LAX - MEL and then MEL - LAX - JFK with our 6 month old. I had been logging in regularly to check that we hadn't been bumped from the bassinet seat. One one off chance a couple of...

Advanced Seat Selection no longer just a QFF benefit (if you want to pay)

No matter - just found the answer in the small print under 'help'. You have to book for EVERY flight.

Advanced Seat Selection no longer just a QFF benefit (if you want to pay)

Hmmm just about to reserve my seats AND pay for them even though I have been a Qantas Club member for years - ugh. Anyway - you can't just pick and choose what flight you want to reserve seats on. For example - I don't want to reserve a seat on JFk - LAX but you must reserve them to move on...

    Cannot change flights online?

Found the answer - it must be because I don't have a 'straight' JFk-MEL return flight. :) I thought I was going mad!

    Cannot change flights online?

Is this for everyone or just me? My JFK-MEL flights has no option to change online. Yet in May, I had to change a booking just like this and it was fine. Have Qantas recently taken away the option to change online? I cannot understand why!?!

GSTOK call them back on the 1300 and play totally dumb. "Oh hi there! I am just ringing because I was checking my statements and realised for some reason that my 5,000 points haven't gone through. I thought "That's funny!" because my $50 qantas refund went through with no hassles... I just...

QantasAMEX: $0 Annual Card Fee, 5000 points, $50 on Qantas Services

It has been 2 months since I had my first transaction and no 5000 points. But like others, I had already received my $50 Qantas credit. I rang them on Friday and the guy was great - just checked my details, checked my points history to double check that I hadn't received them. He was really...

QantasAMEX: $0 Annual Card Fee, 5000 points, $50 on Qantas Services

I haven't got my bonus points either but my $50 credit appeared for the Qantas Club renewal. :) Normally with any of these bonus points they take a while to come through - I think it took about 3 months on my ANZ card.

LOL Four cases is hardly a lot when I am moving my *whole* life over with me AKA I am not shipping ANYTHING and the move is permanent. Only 2 cases will be clothes - the rest, belongings.

    Qantas USA baggage allowance

I wish I was J or F... I won a Green Card in the Green Card Lottery (yep it really can happen!) so budget all the way... will be going through on that QF connection from LAX so no AA... woohoo. :) I better get a nice cab driver to help with with all these cases from JFK ;) On my own, it is...

    Qantas USA baggage allowance

I am moving to NY (YIPPPEEEE!) in August and as a Qantas Club member I understand I get an extra bag allowance to make it 3 bags x 32 kgs. I have never used this allocation before but I am going to have to use that allocation for this journey! :) :) Just a quick couple of questions - * Has...

QantasAMEX: $0 Annual Card Fee, 5000 points, $50 on Qantas Services

I just had to renew my QC so used the card and will be interesting to see if that falls into the Qantas spend category or not. Otherwise, am really happy with the card!

QantasAMEX: $0 Annual Card Fee, 5000 points, $50 on Qantas Services

Just to report - I got a letter that was *very* professionally written stating the mistake etc and with a new table of charges etc. It was definitely a template mistake. :)

QantasAMEX: $0 Annual Card Fee, 5000 points, $50 on Qantas Services

I just received my Amex under this deal today - it says "Card Membership Annual Fee - NIL" Now the catch is further down the column - $30 - Currency conversion fee- "payable when any charge (including a cash advance) is process in a currency other than australian dollars" Um - so this, for me...
