    Please, it's better than having them go wasted. I hardly ever buy flex fares - this change means that at least I'm able to get 1 upgrade instead of none.

    It's possible, but availability the main issue. I can't remember the last time I saw domestic J available for partner redemption. Heaps of Y though.

    Yep, you’re absolutely spot on. To follow up my question - I’ve just ticked over to 5/5 in my last month of the requalification year. I have until 31/3/24 to select my bonus option (50SC), which is wonderful, as the SC‘s won’t go wasted and will contribute towards requalifying.
