Merlots don't usually age so well. Less than 10 years I feel. Also heard rumors some might have been sent o/s and returned (not sure how true this is) so better drink earlier than later as maybe heat affected and a bit flat.
From my records the Liebherr Wkb 4612 - 195 bottles was $2,734 at Harvey Norman last year. RRP 3590.
Redmaxo did you find you have any humidity issues with your Liebherr? Too humid causing some wine labels to wrinkle up?
Marius wines are old school awesome. I've had some Symphony, Simpatico and special release 14 Resurrection in the past. Trophy wines that need some age. Haven't tried the 18's but get some quickly ... if you can.
If you like St Hallett Blockhead (which I do) you'll like the GE Dry Bore. Full bodied shiraz with nice fruit flavours. Great mid week drink. The twisted trunk which was sold out almost immediately just has a bit more oak and will last a few more years. Like a St Hallett Blackwell to a Blockhead.
Great work Paddywide.
Another suggestion would be to archive/delete expired deals past 6 months or so. A number of us give underwrap other hidden deals as gifts and hate to have a mate google the wine to discover we paid a third of the price ;)
Any ideas on the below quaffers? Was going to get some Thompson CS but price jumped back up to $50 from like $14.
Haha. I think the general rule is they are not supposed to purchase wines until after their shift is finished. To get around that pretty sure they don’t put the stick up prices until the following day when they have already purchased everything. Or they keep stock in the back I’m told from...
You're a lucky man!!! The St Hugo's, Max and Jaraman are sold out in WA. Went to a few shops and called a lot more. Said they sold out on the first day. Some said first 20 mins. WA didn't have the Jaraman Shiraz as part of the deal only the Cab Sav which isn't to my liking. Some shops had...
