VA Plats are able to access The House Aspire lounge in terminal 2 prior to international departure and can take one guest who must be travelling on the same flight. There are no complimentary lounges at DPS.
Looking at flying MNL to DUB with Etihad in March next year. Would prefer to go to LHR instead of DUB, but that routing costs about $600 more, although I have found a flight that goes via LHR with an Air Lingus connection to DUB significantly cheaper. Does anyone know if there would be any issue...

Experienced the new VA Melbourne lounge yesterday. Although still not officially allowing on arrival access to VA Plat, thought I’d ask the question after flying in from Adl, and was allowed in as there were only 3 other guests there at 1pm. The lounge is in the same location, but much lighter...
Just checked in at VA in Adelaide and told the lounge is closed. First I knew of it! Not sure if Virgin have communicated the closure. I guess it makes sense with the reduction of flights, but would have been nice to know before I arrived at the airport. Did anyone get notification from VA...
And just to add insult to injury, got back to ADL after 90 minute layover MEL and luggage didn’t turn up!! Seriously, do QF think they don’t have any opposition?
