Understood, but for the Platinum seat guarantee seats they draw from revenue fare classes if reward seats are not available. So trying to understand if reward conditions apply, or those of the underlying fare class.

Do they ever book into lite (and hence no bag)? It would be odd if a reward seat came without a luggage entitlement, but earning SCs for the whole family might make up for it...

I have a similar issue - I have online access but since last Friday I've stopped receiving Qantas MFA SMS. Means no family transfers, profile updates etc. Can't set up the authenticator app either without receiving an SMS - any workarounds other than calling?

Yes I have just encountered this - they no longer use expedia.com.au, but switchfly, a whitelabel OTA which has far fewer options. Means there is no longer an obvious way to search price and availability online, which is a big downgrade compared to just a few months ago. I think availability...

From my limited experience works on all hotels on Expedia.com.au, it is 25% discount of the total pre-tax price, so in some high-tax countries the savings are much less than 25%. You also don't get any hotel status benefits with the big chains.

Is there any rhyme or reason to not listing the aircraft type in the booking tool (common example on SYD-MEL below)? Clicking through on the flight number both say 737-800 - is it possible the blank one is going to be upgraded to A330 at some point or is it essentially random?
