I got an involuntary flight change and this is what happened…

I'll try tomorrow as, with my luck, I would probably end up with JNB if I called now. Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know how it goes.

I got an involuntary flight change and this is what happened…

I have got a slightly different problem with an involuntary flight change and hope I can get some advice from such a knowledgeable crowd. My last leg of a Classic Award is MEL-OOL and has been downgraded to Economy from QF880 to QF1776. Admittedly, it could be my last flight on a B717 but I...

Qantas Revenue booking cancellations (under covid19)

Just used the 131313 number to apply for a refund instead of a credit voucher and, from start to finish, it took only 5 minutes and 6 seconds! That was at 6:45pm AEST. Staff were great!

    Trip to South America

I was right about Auckland. They confiscated the garlic paste. As for the LA801 flight, the food was quite nice and the service was good throughout, probably the best Latam flight of the whole trip.

    Trip to South America

SCL-LIM: This was in Premium Economy so the middle seat of the three was blocked off like the BA business class in Europe. Wasn’t particularly hungry but the food was passable for economy class and complimentary. Service was good, though. Sorry, no photos.

    Trip to South America

Well, I’m in the SCL Lounge again and I have about a 10 hour wait(I know, too long especially this lounge) but I had to check out of the hotel and didn’t know what to do with myself. They told me it was too early for them to check my bag in so they said to take it as carry-on. I managed to get...

    Trip to South America

I actually got it at Coolangatta at first check-in. They even gave me my Lima-Cusco flight for two days later.

    Trip to South America

In Salon VIP Latam lounge in Santiago. Quite basic with cold snack being the most predominant. By the way, the dumplings starter on QF27 were delicious especially the spicy sauce, which was very much like that accompanying the Japanese version, gyoza.

    Trip to South America

In the First Lounge now. Took an hour for transfer Domestic to International but Immigration was quick. The lounge was a bit busy but still lots of seats and seems to have thinned out a bit. Had cappuccino, eggs Benedict with ham and having Pierre Jouet champagne while runway watching.

    Trip to South America

Latam, so still Oneworld but my two tickets are not one paid and one award. My flight to Santiago is award, my return was paid(one ticket/PNR and my Latam was award so thought they might consider both as awards.

    Trip to South America

FYI. Just managed to interline my baggage from Santiago to Lima. At first, the sub-contracted staff said it couldn’t be done but I had the printout from the Qantas website so he contacted his manager who admitted that it could be done but that they would prefer not letting it be known. She said...

    Trip to South America

Long tile lurker and infrequent poster but leaving in over seven hours on the first leg of my trip. First dilemma has arrived. About 18 hours beforehand, the dreaded phone call from Qantas informing me of an aircraft change from a Business seat on a B717 to Economy on B717-200. I could have...
