Cash or Card? Countries where you still need cash.

I've just been in South Africa, used card everywhere. Didn't take any cash out so can't comment on the ATM fees.

    Made any travel mistakes lately?

Didn't force the issue on getting the paperwork from Europcar (my least fav. car rental provider..... which they proved again, was for good reason!) when I picked up the car in Eswatini on the weekend. Got the e-mail invoice yesterday and it had 2x charges for additional insurance. Ummmmmmmm...

Cash or Card? Countries where you still need cash.

I managed to get around Eswatini with card only, but that's without going too far off the beaten track. If you want to go more local, then you'll want cash. Rand is accepted everywhere, so useful if passing through South Africa.

The new airport is miles away from everything. It's named after the king... it just so happens to also be only 10km from his compound. Go figure, eh? ;) As it's my wedding anniversary today and Mrs FB is back at home, I bought her some hand made candles. Yes, she also received some nice flowers...

    The view from my "office"

Unfortunately I spent my whole time in the country in bed and the bathroom vomiting and such, but I was surrounded by nature so was still able to grab a few great shots. Went for the further back exit row this time (all economy plane, legroom was tight in 1A on the flight over). Air Eswatini E135.

    What cheeses me off

Alright, now I'm really cheesed off. Someone (maybe security screening at TNR?) broke the lock on my bag (TSA approved lock, but I guess it means nothing outside USA) - I've only just noticed as I went to open my bag at the hotel and then realised ........it wasn't locked....... and, someone has...

Did she point out he referred to GDPR rather than UK GDPR, which is different, and what was breached? BTW on my previous WCMO post here is proof they are full of BS, 1 adult booking for tonight and the difference between the breakfast rate and the breakfast and dinner rate is 400. If it only...

It's making me an absolute mint! Today's office views from TNR. Flying Airlink, J seat was OK as I had 1A but couldn't work out if the meal was different. Beef was nice and tender though, and tasty. Pre departure drinks was a tray of bottles of water with a choice of still or sparkling 😅...
