Argh still no J fares!

Promising tidbit in an email to MPO members today: "Stay tuned for exciting updates to our programme Soon we’ll be introducing better rewards for our members, including more club points on certain routes. We look forward to sharing more news before the end of this year."

I've had my eye on these for a while. I've got planned CMB-GVA for just under $1800 AUD, and CMB-JFK for ~$2600 AUD. Really good if you can get to CMB easily (or always maintain a return CMB-Home-CMB booking). Still need to pull the trigger though.

I was excited to see SYD in J today but seriously... $3600 is a joke for fanfares. On MH you've got a great A330 product the whole way form HKG to AU, plus extra CPs via KUL. For me it's a no brainer...

OTAs tend to just show CX's full fares (apart from a couple of markets), so these tools are essentially useless if you want to find CX fares. Still, I often find it hard to believe even the highest fare bucket for Y can be this high, but it's just something you grow accustomed to with CX. Very...

I keep an eye on this every week awaiting for something juicy. Nagoya is tempting, but not amazing. For a MPC/AM member, the sweet spots are any J Fanfares (please, please, please CX give us more!), and the really short Y flights that wouldn't earn many CPs/AM anyway. The stuff in the middle...
