Yes, Chubb with platinum charge card PS: we did present to hospital emergency in New Delhi for scans etc. so had that as evidence for our claim.

Article: Should Airlines Rebook Sick Passengers for Free?

Our story: We arrived at DEL in December 2022 for a J award flight to MEL. The husband began to feel pain in the taxi on the way. By the time we arrived at the check-in he was in agony. The Qantas check-in staff were very helpful, assisted us to find the medical staff and even (as a special...

    Qantas Top-up points (limited-time bonuses)

Yes, I had read your post. I am glad I intending to make an award booking right now. So very frustrating for you. I will try not to stress. I've been on the Qantas merry-go-round before. I'm sure they will sort it out. Eventually.

    Qantas Top-up points (limited-time bonuses)

Yes. I paid, but the points have not yet arrived. Is that what happened to you? The site stated that all you needed to do was log out and in to see the new points, but that didn't work. I have sent a message to Qantas with a copy of the transaction details. I hope this does not turn into another...

    Qantas Top-up points (limited-time bonuses)

I am in a similar situation to Lynnelanne, Semi-retired (so it is hard to get approval for cards) but I want to build up points for travel planned for late 2023, and would prefer not to accrue a large quantity of points through wine purchases (although I have ordered the odd box in the past). So...

Article: Bizarre Trick to Get Qantas First Class Awards

I have previously skipped the last leg of a multi-city award flight. It was not a problem. Before boarding the second last flight (returning from OS to SYD) I told the staff at check in that circumstances had changed and I would not be able to take the final SYD-MEL leg.

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

I had the same error when I was experimenting with a OWA starting in AKL. It was as though the system was counting AKL as being part of Australia. I changed the departure to SIN and the error disappeared. I'm interested in what others have to say on this. It is certainly much more convenient to...

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

I am not sure if I understand the question, but I have successfully travelled on a OWA with 5 stops and an additional long (<24h) transit on the way home, allowing me to exit the airport and do a day tour. Perhaps in my case there were limited options so I was able to find a less efficient one.

"oneworld" award (132.4K/249.6K/318K/455K) Planning - The Definitive Thread

I'm planning my second OWA. This time I'm aiming for 3 vacations, starting outside of Australia so I can return twice (one stopover in MEL, the other in SYD). I believe I should choose a starting point that a) is easily accessible from Australia with a cheap flight b) would reduce the overall...

Cancelled AirAsia/AirAsia X flights. What to do?

Yes. I do. If I hadn't spent so much on lie-flat seats it probably wouldn't be worth the effort.

Cancelled AirAsia/AirAsia X flights. What to do?

Well that would be the simplest and most obvious, but I'm not particularly confident about it!

Cancelled AirAsia/AirAsia X flights. What to do?

I had flights booked with AirAsia X (lie-flat beds) for September 2020. I opted for the credit. All good so far... and then I received the "Notice to Creditors" email this week kindly inviting me to submit "Proof of Debt" documents so I can claim any crumbs left after their debt restructure. I...

Christmas Bonus Of Up To 10,000 Velocity Points (2018)

I wonder if they'll do the same or similar offer this year. Both my husband and I shopped at 5 places and were expecting 10000 each. Not so. Like others above, we had problems with Autobarn. The Velocity card scanned as a Valiant part and we didn't realise until later. As others have said...

ANZ card refused due to lack of 'embossed numbers'? (Europcar)

So how on earth would they cope if you wanted to pay with a card via Apple Wallet?! How absurd.
