Of course we don't know yet if R+ is coming, but following this discussion I think it is highly likely. It's not that QF is flying with lots of empty J cabins internationally and therefore it was probably not really realistic that they would significantly increase J rewards simply at something...
I also find the non-availability of coughtails disappointing and I have come to the realisation that it is strictly penny-pinching from Qantas (like all the other changes to the First Class Lounge over the years, from the champagne and wine downgrade, to not offer the self-service buffets...
If this in regards to the Norfolk Island flight you mention earlier, no tax invoice will be issued for the ticket as Norfolk Island flights, despite the island belonging to Australia, are treated as international flights and therefore there is no GST and no tax invoice.
My understanding is that...
In my view the Conrad Centennial Singapore is the best Hilton choice in Singapore unless you plan on shopping at Orchard Road (which I never do as I think it is not different than in Australia).
The Conrad Centennial Singapore is the "old Conrad" in town and also not as flashy as the Hilton, but...
Absolutely, this would be a real improvement. As WP and above then you get a choice of either waiting for this or taking the callentre lottery - I am pretty sure I would always go for the callback from Hobart wait :)

I find it remarable that QF thinks that it does not need to look...
The FJ lounge in Nadi is okay, but nothing to be too excited about. It has zero views and often gets pretty full because there are so many ways you can get access, including Priority Pass if I remember correctly. The food is overall a good buffet, drinks are on the cheap side. So overall I think...
While there are nice things about QF F such as the very comfortable bed, the "little things" you mention really make a difference and make the whole product look like cost-costing. Two other small things are that the chamapgne is luck-of-the-dice and that the menues are not available beforehand...
It is indeed possible to ask the FA if any dish is available - however I really think this should not be neccessary when flying in F. A generous menu that does not let you go hungry and offers a substantial snack available between the meals and clearly lists this as an option in the menu should...
I am WP, but even as a "premium customer" the service is unnecessarily hard. Recently I had to call four time for something that should have been resolved easily in the first call.
So I think Qantas management, which is ultimately responsible for all the call centre operations no matter if the...
I think the whole purpose of the new app version is increased marketing (selling of all Qantas services) given the "Book and explore" section on the front screen instead of first showing upcomging flight details like in the old app version.
It is a terrible app and I will use it as little as...
The new lounge will be a "combined" J and F lounge - so in reality a single large J lounge like in Hong Kong. This is why I am personally not at all a fan of this development - this will be another location without a F lounge and therefore a devaluation of the Platinum benefits.
As far as I am aware Qantas has removed all airport ticketing desks, including at SYD International. The only way to contact Qantas is really by phone (the best option in this difficult situation), via their online contact form and the social media channels.
The opening time would not be an issue as I am arriving on QF 1 and would only use the lounge until the boarding of the LHR-bound QF 1. You are also wrong about the luggage and boarding pass as my luggage will be through-checked from Sydney to my final destination as it is all one ticket and QF...
