PER/LHR sustained by a lot of corporate traffic in J (BHP, S32, RIO etc), will be interesting to see how the CDG flights shape up without the same amount of corporate premium traffic.

Yes, but after the "regular" gate checks at SIN there is/used to be a specific liquids check for Australia bound flights.

How recent have you had gate checks at SIN/KUL to LHR? I didnt last year, and in the last month had none from AUH & DOH (and AUH/DOH would be considered higher risk than SIN)

There are no secondary checks at the gate for flights to the UK, there are gate checks at UK airports for flights to the US(random, a lot less these days) Australia needs to get with the times, the idea it needs secondary checks for liquids at the gate when countries such as US/UK dont is...

Qantas are not consistent though with meal timings. i.e. QF2 departs LHR before 8pm and gets a supper service.

Interesting, as there is a few BA flights today granted dispensation (BA105 for example departing at midnight!) BA seemingly has more pull with Heathrow than QF!

It would be odd if QF2 wasnt granted dispensation as dispensation is the "norm". I saw the stats pre covid but it was very small number of flights that were denied dispensation. My view is Heathrow has gotten too generous with the dispensation, but its in their interest to do so I guess - UK...

There are exemptions to the Heathrow curfew for "operational needs", there is a limit how many exemptions can be made but Heathrow can choose to allow a flight to depart under some wide ranging criteria. If todays QF2 needs to depart after 2300 I'm sure it wont be an issue. (which was...
