One consistently cheap airfare is Air Niugini's flight from Brisbane to Tokyo return once a week via Port Moresby. It is usually in the sub A$1000 bracket and the service is aboard a 767 and not usually packed full. Good straight Qantas type service and food. Can't understand why it is not...
Qantas have made a calculated commercial decision to change the amount of points needed for most trips. That is OK with me; business is business.
However they have made this retrospective, and that is not OK with me.
We collected FF points believing that we would be able to travel those...
Return Brisbane / Tokyo was 50000 is now 60000.
My points have been devalued by 20%.
So much for loyalty.
Thanks a lot Qantas.
It is very hard not to be cynical about banks and airlines when the banks went from one point per dollar to .5 of a point and now Qantas lift their requirment.
So...
I change my Altitude points into Qantas ff points as soon as possible, as I deeply distrust the banks after the Ansett affair.
There is an old Chinese proverb which is worth remembering:
"Do it now"
There are lifts at Narita and with heavy bags it is worth the look around to find them. This is the case on more and more stations in the Tokyo area now.

My late wife was Japanese and in all her many flights between Tokyo and Australia never once experienced anything but equal treatment from Qantas or JAL staff. A lot of it is in over-sensitive peoples minds, if you want to feel insulted then you can usually find a reason.
I reckon if I had to...
Just in case any of you have not seen this site, it surveys quite a large number of the world airlines. There are flyers reports which are informative and sometimes quite funny in that they have probably happened to you as well.
Go to:
www.carsurvey.org
and select Airline Survey at the top...
One important issue emerging here is that it is so often the PEOPLE you deal with that is critical to the smooth running of your business. Be it flying or anything else.
I have always preached that such transactions are a two way street, if you provide your supplier will all the information...
Don't worry OZ-Mark, The executive team of knockers have locked in on Singapore Airlines just like Bush has locked in on Iraq and in both cases there is no backing of.
One quote should make it clear to you that they know all there is to know about everything to do with aviation: "Nobody with...
Why would the guests want to go into such places? The way they swoop on the peanuts might give us some clue to their origin! Throw the passes away and give us important people a break!!
