    Target: The Red Centre

Great TR so far - and wow at how much green there is - never seen it like that in multiple trips!

    Bonza Airline Discussion

How did thier operation go over easter weekend and were their flights full in the peakest of peak travel demand periods? If they cant make money over easter, they are cooked in the long run. (Full of course doesnt mean profitable, but I assume airafares were suitably priced to match demand…..).

    General EV Discussion

I have 7P (MY14) Touareg. It sounds like the battery - mine did similar when battery started failing - assorted weird warning lights but no warning light to say it was the battery…..all fixed when battery replaced. On a Touareg, the battery isn’t cheap - but it’s almost certainly cheaper than...

    JQ announced SYD BQB flights

Separate flight numbers SYD-CNS, CNS-HND. It isn’t nonstop on a 738/73M. Yes, was trying to work out were they getting one back from long term maintenance, or cannibalising one from another route?

    JQ announced SYD BQB flights

Per quote : SYD- Osaka (not BDB). Long way on an A320….. Was announced back in November but starts April 1 so presumably JQ have spammed the travel agents again “launching” th route. (Note i thought I’d deleted Shanghai - Tokyo which would also presumably be A320).

Qantas putting A330s onto MEL-CNS on Saturdays

They often used to run the 330 on 702/703 during peak demand times (Northern Summer / FNQ dry season). Usually Saturdays, although occasionally either side of school holiday peaks too. Wonder where they’ve got the airframe from - last year (2023) IIRC they didn’t run the 330 much due to...

    JQ announced SYD BQB flights

Presumably this requires a 788 - where will this be coming from?

    Ask The Pilot

Re: inflight engine shutdown, Will the CVR/FDR be interrogated following this sort of event, or is there enough info from crew statements/documentation and other electronic systems more routinely accessible / routine systems reporting?

Unable to book multi city on QF

The multi-city tool is fairly buggy. It particularly doesn’t like mixed carriers. I managed to get call fee waived after it kept crashing trying to ticket MEL-SIN-DXB-CDG, FRA-HEL-SIN-MEL so one option would be to try via call centre. It may be there is no combinable fares - another option...

    Changi Matters

Itinerary suggestions for what to do (family) at Changi with a ~5hr connection on return leg from EU, arriving SIN ~1830, dep ~2330 on a Sunday night (I note some things open later only on weekdays - mostly in public/Jewel)? I assume we’ll be locked in “transit” side of things meaning Jewel and...

Air China considering CX acquisition (potential oneworld exit to *A?)

From a ”One China” point of view, taking over complete control (+/- rebranding…..) of a very identifiable HK business makes complete sense. Where that leads in terms of *A, OW etc is less material to the owners, but obviously of consideration for customers. Decisions may not be made on a...

    Ask The Pilot

For our pilots, which aircraft do you wish you’d had the chance to fly, or look forward to one day flying (as the case may be)? Why that particular aircraft / those aircraft?

    2024 F1 Thread

RIC probably unfairly maligned for his drive this race - he copped a 40sec pitstop (not shown / seen on coverage at the time). THe spin at the end was bizarre and hasn’t been explained but looks like just too aggressive on the kerb and a spin. Race was cooked by then and it had no meaningful...
