    Seat poacher

I was travelling weekly SYD<>DRW for a number of months, many years back.. often in J... and departing DRW on the red-eyes, there were 2 or 3 occasions where people boarded and tried to self-upgrade as they came through 'the fancy section'. The amazement and giggling gave them away to the FAs...

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Yes - in the past I've said "a drink would be nice, only if you get the chance". Invariably, they've asked what I like... and later on it's showed up. Champagne, a good red, a proper G&T; whatever the mood was. Usually it would then be served in one of the Y plastic cups, but that didn't bother...

    Seating Availability/Allocation/Configuration Help Desk

Hi @m1111 , and welcome to posting! If travelling on the QF A330 (any variant) than unfortunately, that movable divider you've heard about (slides up and down) is not available... it is, however, available on the slightly newer version of the QF J suites on both the refurbished A380, and also...

Qantas rolls out Classic Plus Flight Rewards

QFF is already a pay-to-join membership program... but I'd hazard a guess than less than 1-2% of members have paid to join since the mid noughties, when they starting cross-promoting membership with various campaigns and partners. It's still A$99.50 for the uninitiated, though! :D Cheers, Matt.

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Yes - I'm afraid it's only the qualifying year values that you look at. If you attained Platinum in 2023, you'll hold that status through at least the end of 2024 (maybe longer, if you have A+ carrying you over to a membership year end date in 2025), however for the SNUs, you do need to...

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Just to clarify... you're now at 18,000+ status points? It's 2 SNUs at hitting Platinum 14,000 / 60 nights, and then at intervals of 4,000 starting at 18,000 status points (i.e. 18K, 22K, 26K, etc). They should be credited as these intervals are reached (when qualifying points are credited)

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Ok... and you think going through all that pain to claim such a bonus is worth the effort?? I rarely even redeem a drink voucher, so will take convenience in advance over all that hassle. Each to their own, though! :)

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

This should be OK - just contact the hotel and have them link the bookings so they know they are to be contiguous

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Wouldn't have mattered - award seats are always on the operating carrier's code... and again; QF doesn't have any access to procure from more than the provided partner inventory, which should* have been visible online to you. *presuming the Qantas website and search was cooperating at that...

    The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Correct - QF can only get seats released from their own inventory, even where partners fly with the QF codeshare. It's possible that at the time of calling they might see something you didn't, but it would be based on whatever the partner has made available to QF, and not what QF has done...

Another big Range fan here, and have traveled to their brewery and tap rooms in BNE and MEL in the last couple of years to experience it at the source. I’m also on Untappd… with 61 unique Range Brewing check-ins, as I edge closer to 2,000 uniques in total. Same handle on there as here, if you...

    Oneworld Explorer ticketing

Routing via HKG or KUL would at least get you onto a full service carrier in CX, QF or MH... I'd be doing that for USD$125 rather than face a JQ all-nighter! In any event, good luck! Cheers, Matt.
