ya, the Edge gives $200 in travel credit, which is worth less i guess (than a return BNE-MEL)

ya, thanks sorry for the poor explanation. yes I have Platinum Edge now - was thinking of moving to to the Amex Platinum Velocity.. It cost $395 (velocity) vs $195 (edge) ... Also I guess the Velocity Amex card has less flexible points - only Velocity... I can't really see the reason...

Any thoughts on this? Is the Velocity Platinum 100 status credits EVERY YEAR? or only the first year? I have Edge now, but thinking of moving across really only for the status credits.. is this stupid? ($200 more per year, but i'll probably get Gold with the extra 100)

I just got upgraded to Gold, the Velocity site said i was a few points off (490+ points). Anyone know why this would happen?

Im going to be 8 SC away from gold ... If i buy $800 worth of coles gift cards now will this count and get me the sc i need? I notice they seem to post about 5th of the month, my next flight is the 9th march.

i'm from adelaide ... i just got back from first time to tassie (hobart-derby), it felt kinda like adelaide hills a lot and for some reason i thought of NZ (even tho i've never been to NZ). other things in adelaide: henley beach/semaphore if you want beaches... easy 2 days of pretty good stuff...
