Not sure if it makes a difference, JAL uses different booking systems for international and domestic, have you tried putting your details into the international version of manage my booking?
Al Safwa first lounge is probably one of the best lounges I have ever been in, pure luxury and amazing ambience. The sleeping rooms are a good touch too.
I would've have been happy to use it if it completely replaced the paper incoming cards, but when it was doubled up I am glad it has been scrapped for now.
When/if it replaces the paper cards I would be happy to use it again.
Whilst I would not go out of my way to complete these activities if I were to do these activities in my normal course of a year or by chance do them without knowing then fine.
"Kept hostage" is a bit extreme of a headline, sounds like a pretty valid reason to not to retrieve your luggage due to storm.
3 hours changeover time is too small especially for non-alliance/non-partner airlines, this is the risk you take unfortunately.
