I always use the hotel safe. Am I being incredibly naive? The hotel staff would lose their job (I’m guessing) if the contents of the safe were missing. And it’s coded, not a key. So have people lost their passport / valuables if stored in hotel safe?

Very true, but I just found back of the plane first, working to front rows so much more convenient.

I recently flew back to Canada to settle my mom's affairs. Stressful enough. But Air Canada's new Zone boarding means as a preferred aisle seat, I am boarded last. Which means a number of things - I was in the LAST aisle of a smaller plane and had to bump by everyone with their winter coats...

At the beginning of 2020, anyone predicting a flight with zero passengers would have been deemed mad!

so sad I missed this (try to stay off computers on the weekends). Predictably, both are sold out. :-(
