Funnily seems even Qantas seems unsure, my email says ‘recommend’ not ‘require’.
Attached to this email is the E-Ticket Itinerary Receipt that includes all your flight details. We recommend that you carry a printed copy of the E-Ticket document or save this on your phone.
Of course people have different lifestyles but you aren’t going to win many arguments suggesting we should subsidise the lifestyles of the rich (well except from the rich themselves but I suspect that won’t convince anyone not in that bracket). We are all aware of the revenue crunch coming and...
Pretty obvious isn’t it, if the environment for those with greater than $3m in super is no longer advantageous move your money out. The fact that people haven’t done so to date suggests the alternatives aren’t quite so advantageous hence the revenue gain.
Super is intended to fund retirement, I have about $2.2m and it’s more than enough. Those who have more than $3m have had it good for a very long time so don’t have a lot of sympathy but do agree the $3m should be indexed.
Yes but do they require you to print them out? While as noted I do have physical copies usually (as backup) have used the electronic version successfully many times across multiple airlines (without having to produce physical proof), to your average Joe that’s what electronic means.
While I don’t disagree that with the knowledge of this forum I always print my ticket, this is another case of Qantas (deliberately?) causing confusion and trickiness, why call it an e-ticket (ie electronic) if you actually need a physical copy?
Totally agree, those on this site have special knowledge but a consumer should not need this and IMO is entitled to believe something saying you are booked as meaning exactly that, you shouldn’t need to have specialist knowledge.
