Just did JQ16 a couple of nights ago.
KIX is a shadow of its former self still. Same day luggage service from Kyoto hasn't restarted so had to lug bags around myself. Flights are increasing but the stores are still largely closed. The North Wing where JQ take off from has just a Familymart...
VA115 BNE-ZQN on 27 December is my current bugbear.
Expertflyer is showing 1 seat except for full Y. If you look for 1 passenger, it's $450. Look for two, it's $870 each.

Seats are just being drip-fed out one at a time. Book one, another...
Thanks for your help team.
I think best strategy for now is I'll leave the JQ sector as my nearly free 'insurance policy' against a cancellation or long delay of the inbound QF26, but if all goes well I'll travel on a separately booked flight and self-connect.
As a Gold, it sounds like that's a nope to the 'premium' call centre. Your experience is basically the exact same situation. It's just so bizarre that on my call they got to the fare difference quote and went on hold briefly before it suddenly became 'computer says no'.
Thanks for the link, that explains a lot. I flicked through the first couple of pages of threads in case I was rehashing a recent bug but looks like this has been an issue for much longer.
Absolutely, I always thought it was bonkers that Qantas would let you connect from domestic to a once-a-day international flight in 70 minutes or whatever it was earlier. In this case, the option offered is an 8h40m layover which definitely exceeds my SCT! There are half a dozen QF flights with...
Thanks for the reply. Could it be a married sector issue if both sectors are individually bookable? I thought married sectors were to do with pulling apart connecting flights into their components
Thanks to Expert Flyer, got a ping on QF26 Haneda-Sydney for J reward availability next month. Happy days! Off I go, trying to book one way Haneda to Brisbane via Sydney.
I can't get classic reward availability for QF26 paired with any of the QF SYD-BNE hops available in the afternoon, even...
Long time member, but been dormant for a while. Thanks for saving my bacon, hopefully. Multiple calls and hour long waits to Cape Town had led to nowhere but today's call gave me cause for optimism. Let's hope for a better result this time. Qantas customer service used to be great but that has...
re: "oneworld" award (140K/280K/420K) Planning - The Definitive Thread
Others have advised you should be able to book the JFK trip at 353 days out. If I am not mistaken, when the Feb availability opens, you can call up and get flights added to the itinerary and it should be repriced as a...
In case you missed it up above, I can confirm that Niki (and probably Air Berlin too) comes up in Your Bookings on the QFF page.
I did make a seat reservation during the booking process for one segment at a cost of 10EUR and during the booking process was served up a total cost of 138EUR.
When...
Re: RTW Planning using FF points - Newbie!
You'll probably have to book a lot of dummy legs after that to achieve the fare rules/minimum two non-QF airline requirement for the ticket, and then swap them out later for what you actually want to do.
Standard change fee applies of 3,500 points per...
Just a tip. Keep in mind a lot of places close up early on Ekka Wednesday night, if they open at all. It'd be wise to check if they are going to be open - combination of 2.5x pay + work day the next day is a bit of a disincentive for most venues.
I'd love to come but I unfortunately will be...
On my way to WP, I passed through the dreaded Gold baggage black hole. Most times my bag was 23-25kg. All but one time the check-in agent said I was naughty but waived the excess baggage fee. However, once they pushed the point and made me pay the $20.
Knowing what I do now, I would simply have...
