    Strange Pricing for Flight Changes

So while not sure what the issue was/is calling up I was able to get the correct price although there was some difficulties at first. So it pays to check prices.

    Strange Pricing for Flight Changes

So I realised that the base fares show on the eticket (duh) and based on that the fare difference is all of $12! so something is very wrong with fare calculations.

    Strange Pricing for Flight Changes

I'm looking at the option of changing a SYD-BNE flight which is part of a BNE-SYD-BNE booking however the fare difference calculations appear to be totally warped. It's a getaway fare so I know there is the $80 change fee, I accept that. However when changing just the SYD-BNE sector it's...

A350 departing Brisbane from mid October!

I've been doing some searching (just for interests sake at this stage) for PE all the way to Europe and when I try searches it only shows Economy for SIN-EU sectors and PE for BNE-SIN sectors. If I do a search just SIN-EU return the PE availability is there so that's not the issue. In the...

Booking PE from BNE via SYD - Is it possible?

Thanks mrsmart I've tried every online option I can find and no luck. Will probably just go for the direct BNE-SIN in Y but if I find any new options I'll post here.

Booking PE from BNE via SYD - Is it possible?

I'm researching a trip to Europe for mid year and Premium Y would be a nice change from my normal Y travel. I realise that SQ don't have PE out of Brisbane so looking at the possibility of via SYD. When doing a schedule search it shows BNE-SYD-SIN options after the direct flights however these...

    VA Global Wallet

Thank you for looking into this, much appreciated. It is looking like a better option than using my CBA keycard for cash withdrawals and while the Citi Plus account looks good I can access more ATMs with the Global wallet card and earning Velocity points is nice too.

    VA Global Wallet

I did a search and can't easily find an answer, when looking at the ATM fees for Global Wallet the Hong Kong fee is dramatically higher than anywhere else at HK$150 (A$20ish!!) whereas everywhere else seems to be around the $2-3 mark. Is this an error in the fee schedule as the website and PDS...

    Question re inflight service

F100 routes are standard service as per 737/E190 routes. The seats are quite comfortable with good legroom (32").

Alliance Operated Flights - What to Expect?

I can now answer my own question for those interested. I flew on DJ1102 BNE-NTL this morning and the cabin crew are Alliance in VA uniforms with small Alliance badge, service is standard DJ service with flexi meals and cart for everyone else, Voyeur magaine in seat pockets and DJ branded safety...

Alliance Operated Flights - What to Expect?

I decided to book BNE-NTL due to the new Alliance F100 services and am curious as to what sort of service is offered on the Alliance operated flights?

Redeeming for Virgin Australia Flights Operated by Alliance Not Possible?

Yep I know about the great J redemption rates.

Redeeming for Virgin Australia Flights Operated by Alliance Not Possible?

Still don't know what the issue is so ended up booking direct. As far as value I was referring to redeeming citibank points to Velocity, based on full redemptions (fare + taxes) the citibank travel program redemptions work out better value.

Redeeming for Virgin Australia Flights Operated by Alliance Not Possible?

I was looking at doing a redemption booking through the citibank travel program / take flight and it seems you cannot book on Virgin Australia flights operated by Alliance (and also the ATR72 flights which are operated by Skywest). This seems strange as the flights are marketed by DJ and are...

What are you doing for Valentines Day?

I don't have a +1 so not doing anything special. Did catch up with a friend briefly after work and him and his partner don't celebrate valentines day.
