Seeing TG flights to/from PER now until Oct 24.....nice to see TG back in Perth skies and their J award seats!

Another reference point for this thread. As WP requested today for release of 2 J seats on 21 Dec on QF71 Per-Sin. There are 5 I class seats available and I am declined again. I have necker seen J international classic seats from Perth available ever (stand to be corrected)…that is 2/2...

I know I was venting….and agree lounge access (particularly first lounges😀) is good value … but selection of seats can be just as good 48 hours before flight…”priority” call centre line took me 50 mins to get thru yesterday (after my first attempt of 40 mins) not exactly what I call premium...

So having been WP for best part of last 20 years i hadnt tried the requesting release of seats, but having seen this thread thought i'd give it a go. So phoned up today and requested two F seats for QF2 LHR-SIN on 22 Oct which has 3 A class fares and numerous F seats available. Got rejected...

Thanks for that…emailed them but said I should call…BUT is this just tonight? but all their numbers do not work…I have called them a million times in that past but nothing working at the moment…anyone else having same issue?

Wondering if anyone can help me with this....I have a lifemile booking with EVA in Oct from CDG-TPE-SIN that has a slight flight change on first leg that has now made my booking 'not confirmed'.... will EVA confirm if i call them or is this an Lifemiles call i need to make ? Has anyone been contacted regarding cancelled JNB or CGK flights yet? My flight is still showing as confirmed to CGK in June?

My PER-CGK flights is still there for June as well...interesting that they said they are still going ahead...the cynic in me is thinking this is ploy by QF to pressure the WA govt to put pressure on border force

These arrangements are a mess and i can understand why QF wont commit post March for JNB. GA obviously dont have PER in their radar so this still represents a great opportunity for QF to develop a presence on this route....But the biosecurity issues are a nonsense...there is nothing to prevent...

QF used to run about 10 a week to Sing previously a number of years back....from memory i think it was a late afternoon flight there and redeye back...presume they will use 737 for it...

This is a totally backward move as opening to Jakarta as well would have been great for WA. Maybe this will help longer term getting QF to commit to new terminal at T1 and off its sweetheart deal at T3/T4 as this is going to be a long term constraint for them as an international west coast hub...

Yeah i thought that was reason also to use a 737 overnight, but it is difficult enough to get border force to man the T1 terminal at 5am for the first SQ flight to Sing at 6.40am let alone have to man the T4 terminal at same time with separate team...i suspect the JNB flight may require tweaking...

I agree it has to do with rosters of border security staff. My ticket for Per-Cgk in June was due to leave at 7pm and return at ungodly hour of 5am, but has now been rescheduled to leave at 11am (right before Per-Sin flight at 11.40am) and gets back at around 9pm)….so timings much more border...

OK had a chance to check availability more thoroughly today and see that TG have lots of J and F to Europe and J to Aus in Jan 2021, but if you go either month of that its back to nothing again.....got exited initially as had thought they'd turned the taps on again, but just a teaser...
